About

Tina Oršolić Dalessio

My name is Tina Oršolić Dalessio and I am a painter who used to be a legal scholar. I finished my bachelor’s degree in Croatia, my master’s degree in the USA and my PhD in the Netherlands. After working for nearly ten years in academia, as a lecturer and researcher in the field of legal philosophy and EU law, I discovered that my true passion and calling lies in art. So, I decided to chase my dream, change my career and become a painter.

The first step in realizing this plan consists in perfecting my skills through formal artistic training. I will be doing that at the Florence Academy of Art, a renowned fine art school which specializes in traditional painting techniques, starting Fall 2016.

This blog is intended as a space for documenting my journey. Here, I will share my experiences, travels, moments from my artistic training, as well as tips and tricks I gather along the way. I will share things I find inspiring, along with my reflections on art. Last but not least, I will share my own drawings and paintings to provide an insight into my growth as an artist.

They say to focus on the journey, rather that the final destination. With this blog, I’ll try to do precisely that.
